HONOR X7e vs HONOR X7e Plus 5G in UAE (2026): Which Budget Phone to Choose?
Miles Telecom ·
HONOR X7e and X7e Plus 5G differ in more than mobile-network capability. The Plus increases battery capacity and screen size, but it also brings a heavier body, so its advantages come with a physical trade-off.
For a budget UAE purchase, the useful question is whether you want a bigger device every time you take it out. A simpler model tier is not a drawback if the smaller handset better suits one-handed calls, messaging, and routine daily browsing.

Camera
X7e lists a 50MP rear camera, while Plus lists 50MP plus an auxiliary camera. Both specify 5MP front cameras. There is no supported reason to promise a dramatic selfie upgrade from the Plus; anyone prioritising video calls should evaluate actual samples rather than expecting the suffix to change everything.
Battery and charging
X7e carries a listed 7500mAh silicon-carbon battery and Plus lists 8100mAh. Both support 45W HONOR SuperCharge. The Plus offers more nominal capacity, not a new charging-power tier, and its larger screen may also influence consumption depending on brightness and usage.
Gaming performance
The 4G X7e uses Helio G81 Ultra; Plus uses Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 and adds 5G connectivity. Both list 120Hz TFT LCD panels with HD+ resolutions. The larger 6.87-inch Plus screen should not be confused with a higher-resolution display simply because it has more physical area.
Software support
Both listings identify MagicOS 10 based on Android 16, so there is no launch-version gap to exaggerate. The standard model is approximately 207g, while Plus is 216.5g. That handling difference may be more immediately noticeable than the shared software generation during ordinary daily use.
Advantages
HONOR X7e
The strongest reason to shortlist HONOR X7e is that you prefer the lighter 207g build and slightly more compact 6.61-inch panel, while saving money if 4G mobile data fully covers your routine.
HONOR X7e Plus 5G
The case for HONOR X7e Plus 5G is clearest when you want 5G mobile connectivity, the step up to Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, and an exceptionally large 8100mAh cell for multi-day endurance.
Disadvantages
HONOR X7e
Choosing the standard X7e caps cellular connectivity at 4G speeds and leaves you with the Helio G81 Ultra processor, alongside a slightly smaller battery compared to the Plus model.
HONOR X7e Plus 5G
The Plus model pushes total weight to 216.5g across a broad 6.87-inch footprint, which makes pocketing and one-handed use considerably less comfortable for minimal gain in pixel sharpness.
Final buying verdict
Buy HONOR X7e if pocket-friendly dimensions and an easier one-handed grip matter more to you than having 5G data. Buy HONOR X7e Plus 5G if maximum battery runtime and modern Snapdragon 5G connectivity justify the added weight and larger footprint.
Before ordering either handset, confirm that your chosen carrier plan benefits from 5G access and verify whether 128GB of onboard storage accommodates your apps and offline media.
