Camera
POCO specifies a 50MP OIS main and 8MP ultra-wide. Samsung lists 50MP plus 12MP plus 5MP; three camera entries do not establish better low-light portraits, so inspect results from the main camera first.
For the POCO X8 Pro versus Samsung Galaxy A57 5G camera decision, photograph the same person indoors and then a backlit outdoor scene. Check how the X8 Pro's 50MP OIS sensor handles indoor motion compared to the Galaxy A57's main camera, looking closely at skin tones and shadow clarity. Megapixel counts alone will not tell you whether POCO or Samsung delivers cleaner processing.
Battery and charging
The X8 Pro lists 6500mAh and 100W charging against A57’s 5000mAh and up to 45W. That is a clear specification advantage for POCO, not evidence of a particular full-charge time or an extra day of use.
With POCO X8 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A57 5G, plan charging around your actual day rather than the maximum wattage alone. Charging at 100W on the POCO or 45W on the Samsung generates heat, so recharge away from direct sun and verify your adapter supports the required protocol.
Gaming performance
The processor comparison is Dimensity 8500-Ultra in POCO X8 Pro against Exynos 1680 in Samsung Galaxy A57 5G. The Dimensity 8500-Ultra and Exynos 1680 indicate different architectural directions rather than guaranteed frame rates. Thermal management over extended sessions and software tuning will dictate how smooth titles run on both phones.
POCO specifies approximately 201.47g, while Samsung lists approximately 179g. If you read standing on a train or hold your phone for long calls, that difference belongs in a value comparison alongside processor names.
Software support
POCO X8 Pro lists Xiaomi HyperOS 3; Samsung Galaxy A57 5G lists Android 16, One UI. HyperOS 3 and One UI handle quick settings, multitasking, and background management differently, making interface comfort an important deciding factor. While both ship with modern platforms, check official manufacturer support policies for long-term OS maintenance.
Advantages
POCO X8 Pro
POCO X8 Pro is most compelling when your priority is larger battery capacity and higher charging power. Its 6500mAh cell and 100W charging make the X8 Pro an obvious pick if battery endurance and rapid top-ups top your requirements.
Samsung Galaxy A57 5G
Samsung Galaxy A57 5G deserves attention if you value a lighter body and larger screen. Weigh Samsung's lighter build and expansive 6.7-inch display against your preference for one-handed comfort and viewing space.
Disadvantages
POCO X8 Pro
The compromise with POCO X8 Pro is that its strengths do not settle the whole comparison. If a lighter body and larger screen matters more to you, the alternative warrants a closer look before paying for features that will sit unused.
Samsung Galaxy A57 5G
The limitation of choosing Samsung Galaxy A57 5G by headline alone is overlooking larger battery capacity and higher charging power. Consider whether trading the A57's sleeker, lighter frame is worth giving up the X8 Pro's substantially larger battery.
Final buying verdict
Buy POCO X8 Pro if you want larger battery capacity and higher charging power. Buy Samsung Galaxy A57 5G if you prefer a lighter body and larger screen. The choice hinges on tangible hardware trade-offs: POCO delivers superior power specs, while Samsung provides a lighter, roomier display package.
Before making the final POCO X8 Pro or Samsung Galaxy A57 5G decision, confirm the exact model designation and local configuration. Ensure the specific retail unit you purchase carries TDRA compliance and matches the SIM requirements you expect.
