Camon 50 Ultra brings a clearly listed 3X camera and a curved 144Hz screen. Galaxy A37 is the alternative for buyers who prefer its One UI interface and a 6.7-inch 120Hz display.

For a Dubai buyer considering TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G against Samsung Galaxy A37 5G, the right answer should follow the tasks that occupy most of the week. Weigh whether TECNO's dedicated telephoto lens and 6500mAh battery offset the reassurance of Samsung's familiar One UI and official TDRA retail distribution.

Specifications compared

Camera

TECNO identifies a 50MP main with OIS, a 50MP 3X camera and an 8MP ultra-wide, plus a 50MP front camera. Samsung lists 50MP plus 8MP plus 5MP rear and 12MP front, without a telephoto claim in the catalogue.

For the TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G versus Samsung Galaxy A37 5G camera decision, photograph the same person indoors and then a backlit outdoor scene. Check how each handset renders facial skin tones, manages harsh glare from bright windows, and handles subject movement in low indoor light. High megapixel figures on TECNO's telephoto and selfie sensors mean little if the processing does not match your visual preferences.

Battery and charging

TECNO lists 6500mAh and 45W charging, while Samsung lists 5000mAh and up to 45W. Equal headline charging power does not imply equal charging time when capacities and charging curves differ.

With TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G and Samsung Galaxy A37 5G, plan charging around your actual day rather than the maximum wattage alone. During warmer summer months in the Emirates, avoid leaving either device plugged in under direct sunlight, and verify that your plug and cable support the 45W charging protocols listed for each model.

Gaming performance

The processor comparison is MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate in TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G against Exynos 1480 in Samsung Galaxy A37 5G. These silicon specifications detail the internal architecture rather than guaranteeing specific sustained frame rates. How each manufacturer manages thermal headroom, graphic profiles, and sustained clock speeds during extended sessions matters far more than nameplates.

The Camon’s curved display is a specific design choice worth handling before purchase. Samsung lists Gorilla Glass Victus+ and IP67, but those details should not be translated into an unsupported drop-survival guarantee.

Software support

TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G lists HiOS 16; Samsung Galaxy A37 5G lists Android (One UI). Spend a few minutes exploring Samsung's One UI skin alongside TECNO's HiOS interface to see which app drawer, notification pane, and privacy toggles feel most intuitive. While both ship on current Android bases, operating system skins and update cadences differ between the brands.

Advantages

TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G

TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G is most compelling when your priority is the listed 3X camera and larger battery. Its combination of optical zoom reach and a 6500mAh battery cell provides distinct hardware perks for users who spend long hours away from power outlets.

Samsung Galaxy A37 5G

Samsung Galaxy A37 5G deserves attention if you value the One UI interface and documented IP67 rating. Balance that factory dust and water resistance against the Camon's richer camera hardware before picking your daily carry.

Disadvantages

TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G

Choosing the TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G means accepting HiOS and passing on Samsung's proven IP67 dust and water sealing. If the One UI interface and documented IP67 rating matters more to you, the alternative warrants a closer look before paying for features that will sit unused.

Samsung Galaxy A37 5G

The limitation of choosing Samsung Galaxy A37 5G by headline alone is overlooking the listed 3X camera and larger battery. Weigh the lack of an optical telephoto lens against your routine photography needs, especially if you regularly zoom in on distant subjects.

Final buying verdict

Buy TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G if you want the listed 3X camera and larger battery. Buy Samsung Galaxy A37 5G if you prefer the One UI interface and documented IP67 rating. Your choice hinges on whether you want TECNO's extended battery capacity and dedicated zoom, or Samsung's water-resistant chassis and refined One UI software.

Before making the final TECNO Camon 50 Ultra 5G or Samsung Galaxy A37 5G decision, confirm the exact model designation and local configuration. Make sure your purchased unit has verified TDRA certification for local carrier compatibility, and verify physical tray layout if you rely on dual SIM connectivity in the UAE.
