Camera flexibility matters more than the biggest megapixel number. Comparing vivo X300 Ultra with Xiaomi 17 Ultra works best when you start with the job you want the upgrade to do. While spec sheets show peak figures, they cannot reveal how either flagship handles during daily routines.

For this UAE buying decision, compare a distant landmark, a face indoors and a wide city view. Pay attention to how the 512GB vivo configuration compares against Xiaomi's 1TB option. Weighing the hardware differences alongside your real-world usage will give you a clearer picture than relying on promotional claims.

Specifications compared

Camera

vivo X300 Ultra lists 200MP + 50MP + 200MP + 5MP ZEISS Quad Camera at the rear, with 50MP at the front. Evaluate whether vivo's dual 200MP sensors fit your shooting habits better than Xiaomi's autofocus-enabled front camera and processing pipeline. Dual 200MP sensors look impressive on paper, but sensor tuning and lens quality dictate low-light clarity and color fidelity.

When judging vivo X300 Ultra against Xiaomi 17 Ultra, use the same subject and lighting. Evaluate skin tones and indoor white balance rather than focusing only on distant building edges. If you frequently photograph fast-moving subjects or evening gatherings, quick focus tracking matters far more than maximum resolution.

Battery and charging

vivo X300 Ultra lists 6600mAh, while Xiaomi 17 Ultra lists 6000 mAh. The 6600mAh rating gives the vivo a numerical advantage, though vivo's sharper 2K 144Hz screen and Xiaomi's 120Hz HyperRGB OLED will each affect overall runtime differently. Continuous GPS navigation under strong sunlight and 5G network handoffs will drain both batteries faster than moderate indoor use.

vivo X300 Ultra specifies 100W FlashCharge + 40W Wireless FlashCharge. Xiaomi 17 Ultra specifies 90 W wired, 50 W wireless, reverse wireless. With vivo X300 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra on your shortlist, check which adapter and cable the charging mode needs. Avoid charging either phone on hot surfaces or in direct sun during peak summer temperatures, as thermal safeguards will scale back maximum charging speeds.

Gaming performance

vivo X300 Ultra uses Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. Xiaomi 17 Ultra uses Qualcomm Snapdragon® 8 Elite Gen 5 (3 nm). For vivo X300 Ultra versus Xiaomi 17 Ultra, the useful test is your preferred game at the settings you intend to keep. While vivo's panel supports up to 144Hz and Xiaomi reaches 120Hz, actual in-game fluidity depends heavily on title optimization and sustained thermal management.

Before committing to vivo X300 Ultra or Xiaomi 17 Ultra, spend time checking control placement, screen reach and comfort during a longer session. With demanding game files and frequent patches, Xiaomi's 1TB storage provides substantially more headroom than vivo's 512GB tier. Choose the device whose screen dimensions and palm ergonomics feel balanced across extended play.

Software support

vivo X300 Ultra is listed with Android 16 (OriginOS 6). Xiaomi 17 Ultra is listed with Android 16 with HyperOS 3. Moving between vivo X300 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra should also involve checking your banking, work and authentication apps. Initial release versions tell only part of the story, as enterprise features and interface personalization differ between OriginOS and HyperOS. Make sure to review the regional update schedule specifically for TDRA UAE releases before deciding.
