Discover the Apple AirTag 2nd Generation – Single Tracker at Miles Telecom

The Apple AirTag 2nd Generation – Single Tracker is Apple’s updated precision item finder designed to help you keep track of your most important belongings — like keys, bags, wallets, or backpacks — using the Find My network. Compared with the original AirTag, the second-gen version brings internal improvements that make finding items easier and faster, including a more powerful Ultra Wideband chip, extended connectivity range, louder alerts, and refined tracking responsiveness.

AirTag is built to work with Apple devices using the Find My app, offering precise directionality and distance feedback when paired with compatible iPhone or Apple Watch models. The device also retains key features like water and dust resistance, a user-replaceable battery, NFC for Lost Mode, and a lightweight compact design that fits easily in everyday accessories or compatible holders.

Design and Build

The AirTag 2nd Generation has a round, compact design with a durable finish and minimal footprint — easy to attach to items using popular AirTag accessories. It’s engineered to endure daily use with a tough enclosure and water/dust protection suitable for most everyday environments.

Despite internal upgrades, its external look remains very similar to the first generation, maintaining compatibility with existing AirTag cases, keyrings, and holders.

Precision Tracking and Connectivity

This second-generation AirTag introduces an updated Ultra Wideband chip that enables Precision Finding up to about 50 % farther away than the previous model when used with compatible Apple devices. This feature leverages haptic, visual, and audio cues in the Find My app to guide you directly to the AirTag’s location when it’s nearby.

Bluetooth connectivity is also improved, offering a stronger and more stable connection for locating items at greater distances, while NFC support enables Lost Mode when tapped by another device.

Audio and Feedback

AirTag 2 includes a built-in speaker that is significantly louder than the original, helping you hear alerts more clearly from deeper inside bags or under furniture. You can trigger this sound via the Find My app, Siri, or automatically in certain Lost Mode scenarios.

Battery and Everyday Use

The AirTag runs on a user-replaceable CR2032 coin cell battery, which Apple estimates will last more than a year with typical usage. The ease of replacing the battery means you don’t have to worry about charging and can continue tracking your items without interruption.

An included accelerometer sensor detects movement and helps AirTag signal its location changes back to your Apple device network.

Compatibility and Requirements

To use the AirTag 2, you need an Apple account and a compatible device with the required operating system:

• iPhone with iOS 26.0 or later

• iPad with iPadOS 26.0 or later

For advanced Precision Finding, compatible Apple Watch models (like Series 9 or later) can also be used to locate AirTag directly from your wrist when running the appropriate watchOS version.
