Infinix Note 50S or Hot 50? Choosing Value in the UAE

Infinix Note 50S and Infinix Hot 50 can look similar at first, but they suit different budgets. The Hot 50 keeps costs lower, while the Note 50S adds 5G, an AMOLED display and faster charging.

Current UAE prices

• Infinix Note 50S 5G 8GB/256GB - UAE Version (TDRA): AED 850 (currently out of stock)

Quick comparison

Choose Note 50S if...

You want 5G, quicker charging, a brighter-looking AMOLED screen and more room for future use. Its JBL dual speakers also make it a good choice for videos.

Choose Hot 50 if...

You need a dependable everyday phone at a lower price. It has 256GB storage, dual speakers, NFC and a headphone jack, which many buyers still value.

Our advice

If the price difference fits your budget, the Note 50S is the stronger long-term choice. If you mostly call, message and browse, the Hot 50 gives good value. Compare the Note 50S and Hot 50 pages for live stock.

Battery numbers versus your day

The Note 50S has a larger listed battery and faster rated charging, but capacity alone does not tell us how long either phone lasts. Signal strength, display brightness and your apps make a difference. We have not timed either device from empty to full. Think about whether you need to charge during a short lunch break or can leave a phone charging overnight; that makes the 45W versus 18W difference more meaningful.

Cameras and games

The Note 50S lists a 64MP plus 2MP rear camera system and a 13MP selfie camera. The Hot 50 lists a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Neither set of megapixel numbers proves better night photographs. For gaming, the chipsets differ as shown above, but we have not run frame-rate or heat tests. A 144Hz screen does not guarantee 144fps in a game.

Software and availability

The Note 50S catalogue entry lists Android 15 with XOS 15; the Hot 50 entry lists Android 14 with XOS 14.5. Those are recorded versions, not guaranteed remaining update terms. The Note 50S is currently out of stock, so its price is not a promise of immediate delivery. If you need a phone now, check the actual colour availability before choosing it over an in-stock Hot 50.

Both example listings have 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. That makes this a more useful price comparison than comparing a small-memory Hot model against a larger-memory Note and attributing every difference to the model name.
