The PS5 has plenty of games that are fun for children and easy for parents to enjoy too. Check the age rating on each game before buying.
Our family favourites
- Astro Bot - a bright, gentle platformer that teaches kids the controller.
- Minecraft - building and creativity, playable together on split screen.
- LEGO games such as LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - simple co-op with humour.
- Sackboy: A Big Adventure - up to four players working together.
- Rocket League - car football, easy to learn.
- Overcooked! All You Can Eat - chaotic cooking for the whole family.
- Crash Bandicoot 4 и Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart - for older kids.
Set up parental controls
On the PS5 go to Settings > Family and Parental Controls. You can limit play time, block games above an age rating, restrict spending on the Store and control chat with strangers. You can also manage everything from the PlayStation App on your phone.
Get a second controller
Most family games are best with two players. Kids often love a colourful DualSense:
- DualSense White: AED 230
- DualSense Midnight Black: AED 230
