Best PS5 Controllers: DualSense vs DualSense Edge
Miles Telecom ·

Every PS5 comes with a DualSense controller. Sony also makes the DualSense Edge, a premium version for serious players. Here's how they compare.
What both have
- Haptic feedback that lets you feel the game.
- Adaptive triggers with variable resistance.
- Built-in microphone and USB-C charging.
What the DualSense Edge adds
- Two back buttons - press jump or reload without lifting your thumbs.
- Replaceable stick modules - swap a worn stick instead of the whole controller.
- Trigger stops - shorter trigger travel for faster shots.
- Custom profiles - save button layouts and stick sensitivity.
- Carrying case and a braided cable with a lock.
The downsides of the Edge
It costs much more, and its battery life is shorter than the standard DualSense, so you may charge it more often.
Which one should you buy?
For most players and casual games, the standard DualSense is ideal, and it comes in many colours. If you play competitive shooters or sports games online, the Edge gives a real advantage.
