Is the PS5 Pro Worth Buying? An Honest Review
Miles Telecom ·

The PS5 Pro is Sony's most powerful console. But more power only matters if you can see it. Here is what changes and who benefits.
What the PS5 Pro improves
- Stronger graphics chip - higher frame rates and more detail in games marked "PS5 Pro Enhanced".
- PSSR AI upscaling - sharper 4K images with less blur.
- Better ray tracing - more realistic lighting and reflections.
- 2TB storage - more than double the original PS5's 825GB.
- Wi-Fi 7 - faster wireless downloads on a compatible router.
What stays the same
- It plays the same games as every PS5. No game is Pro-only.
- There is no disc drive in the box. You need the add-on drive for discs.
- The controller is the same DualSense.
Who should buy it
Buy the Pro if you have a quality 4K TV with 120Hz support, play big single-player games and care about image quality. On a 1080p TV, or for mainly FIFA, Fortnite or Call of Duty, the difference is small.
The value choice
For most families, a standard PS5 plus one extra game or controller is a better use of money. We currently stock the standard PS5 in both versions:
- PS5 Disc Console with Controller 825GB: AED 2,690
- PS5 Digital Edition with Controller 825GB: AED 2,330
